Privacy Policy

Story Designs ("Story Designs," "we," "me," or "our") is a small, hand-painted banner business run by one person. This policy explains what information I collect when you visit this site or place an order, how I use it, and the choices you have. Plain language, no surprises.

What I collect

• Order details you give me. When you fill out the order form, I collect your name, email address, phone number, and (optionally) your social handle, along with your event date, banner size, wording, and design notes.
• Shipping information. If you choose shipping instead of local pickup, I also collect your mailing address.
• Emails. If you email me, I keep our conversation so I can help with your order.

I do not ask for or store credit card numbers. Payment is handled separately through Venmo (see "Who I share it with" below).

How I use it

• To design, paint, and deliver your banner.
• To reply to you, send a mockup for approval, and keep you updated on your order.
• To arrange pickup or shipping.
• To tag you on social media — only if you give me your handle and ask me to.

Cookies & tracking

This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers. I don't build a profile on you or follow you around the web. If that ever changes — for example, if I add analytics or a social media pixel — I'll update this policy and add any required notice before doing so.

Who I share it with

I don't sell your information, and I don't share it for advertising. I rely on a few trusted services to run the business:

• Cloudflare hosts this website and processes the order form. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Resend delivers your order form submission to my email inbox. See Resend's privacy policy.
• Shipping carriers (such as USPS or UPS) receive your mailing address only when you choose shipping, so your banner can reach you.
• Venmo processes payment if you pay by Venmo, under their own terms. I only see what Venmo shows me.

I may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long I keep it

I keep order details as long as I need them to complete your order and for ordinary business records (such as taxes). You can ask me to delete your information at any time, and I'll do so unless I'm legally required to keep it.

Your choices & rights

You can ask me what information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it — just email storybanners@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law. I'm happy to honor those requests; just reach out.

Children's privacy

Story Designs is intended for adults placing orders. I don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given me information, email me and I'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I'll change the "Last updated" date above, and I'll note any significant changes on this page.
